Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İsa Şafak in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Çakır Başesgioğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kücükköyspor's Uğurcan Bender played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Recep Tayyip Adsoy in the 14th minute of play. Kücükköyspor's İsa Şafak got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Çakır Başesgioğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vecdi İğdemir in the 17th minute of the match. Çakır Başesgioğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doğukan Çoğaş went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Vecdi İğdemir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çakır Başesgioğlu having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Doğukan Çoğaş notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gönen FK's Çakır Başesgioğlu. Çakır Başesgioğlu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27th minute, İsa Şafak reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Çakır Başesgioğlu. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 30th minute, İsa Şafak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uğurcan Bender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Karluk in the 35th minute of play. When Kücükköyspor's İsa Şafak in 41 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Çakır Başesgioğlu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 45 minutes into the match, Vecdi İğdemir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Çakır Başesgioğlu. Gönen FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vecdi İğdemir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Kutsi Tanbay to strike the kick off in the second half. The Kücükköyspor fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Kücükköyspor's İsa Şafak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Gönen FK's zone, Vecdi İğdemir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Çakır Başesgioğlu came out of the goal and Vecdi İğdemir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Kutsi Tanbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uğurcan Bender having to interfere. Barış Aksoy charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barış Aksoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Gönen FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barış Aksoy to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that İsa Şafak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Çakır Başesgioğlu was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Mehmet Karluk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Uğurcan Bender tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kücükköyspor's Demiralp Ziver got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Doğukan Çoğaş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Çakır Başesgioğlu came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Kücükköyspor's Birkan Bekata. But to his dismay, Birkan Bekata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Kücükköyspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
