Gönen FK:s Çakır Başesgioğlu showed great skill when he stopped Turabi Üstay:s penalty. 19 minutes into the match, Nazimiye's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Kutsi Tanbay came free, but Ercan Taha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gönen FK fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Gönen FK's Mehmet Karluk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Kutsi Tanbay couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gönen FK booed when Nazimiye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yılmaz Tecimen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Gönen FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Çakır Başesgioğlu should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gönen FK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
