Fehmi Sefer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Selçuk Akdoğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafer Yerhum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Kücükköyspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gökcebey the free kick. Hasan Tahsin Özbay kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kücükköyspor's zone, Cafer Yerhum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökcebey's Zühtü Mutlutekin got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Selçuk Akdoğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Necip Derem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Fehmi Sefer sped through Gökcebey's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Selçuk Akdoğ. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
