Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adem Ulukan kicked off to start the match. Seyfettin Gürtuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adem Ulukan in the 3rd minute of play. Uğurcan Erenoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Seyfettin Gürtuna made a huge save. Ali Kağan Sargın kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Baltalimani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Kağan Sargın to maneuver through the defense. Seyfettin Gürtuna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adem Ulukan in the 13th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Gökcan Eymen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gençlerbirliği's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gökcan Eymen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Baltalimani's goalkeeper Seyfettin Gürtuna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ali Kağan Sargın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertuğrul İlkcan having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Baltalimani got a freekick which was hit by Cafer Yavuzhan. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Umut Haşmetli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gençlerbirliği's supporters rose to their feet, but Umut Haşmetli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seyfettin Gürtuna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafettin Ergazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adem Ulukan succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yavuz Bülent İlighan to strike the kick off in the second half. Ertuğrul İlkcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Bülent İlighan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umut Haşmetli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Uğurcan Erenoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adem Ulukan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Seyfettin Gürtuna having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökcan Eymen in the 73rd minute of play forced Baltalimani's goalkeeper Seyfettin Gürtuna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Umut Haşmetli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baltalimani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gençlerbirliği the free kick. Cafer Yavuzhan hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Adem Ulukan took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Seyfettin Gürtuna. Seyfettin Gürtuna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 87 minutes into the match, Baltalimani's goal looked a bit too open when Gökcan Eymen came free, but Seyfettin Gürtuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
