In the 3rd minute Ateş Sırat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İslam Berksu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ejder Kaçkar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ejder Kaçkar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baykam Akbaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Baykam Akbaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baykam Akbaba might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ejder Kaçkar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baykam Akbaba ran back to his position shaking his head. Baykam Akbaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ejder Kaçkar having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but İslam Berksu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Haluk Gökalp fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rafael balboa's protests and gave Haluk Gökalp a yellow card for diving instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
