The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Sütlüce FK getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Boğaçhan Tecelli hit a great ball. If Koray Yuvakuran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd match minute, Denizlispor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ömer Rıza Ufki to maneuver through the defense. Rafettin İğdemir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Davut Tanyeri in the 25th minute of the match. Rafettin İğdemir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alp Orsel in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Sütlüce FK's goal looked a bit too open when Koray Yuvakuran came free, but Ahmet Turan Ortun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ömer Rıza Ufki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alp Orsel to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Davut Tanyeri took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafettin İğdemir. Rafettin İğdemir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Ege Nasuh in the 59th minute of play forced Sütlüce FK's goalkeeper Ahmet Turan Ortun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denizlispor's Rafettin İğdemir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Denizlispor from getting a goal against them. Reşit Tekiner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafettin İğdemir. Denizlispor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celalettin Yalçıner got free with Rafettin İğdemir in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celalettin Yalçıner in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafettin İğdemir saved Denizlispor from getting behind.
