İslam Berksu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökcan Eymen in the 43rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rafael balboa's zone, Gökcan Eymen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İslam Berksu came out of the goal and Gökcan Eymen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adem Ulukan was the one to do the kick off. Gençlerbirliği's Ertuğrul İlkcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baykam Akbaba in the 52nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Gökcan Eymen took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for İslam Berksu to make any attempt to save it. Gökcan Eymen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uğurcan Erenoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. İslam Berksu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Haluk Gökalp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rafael balboa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gençlerbirliği the free kick. Gençlerbirliği played a much better game than Rafael balboa and deserved their victory. The Rafael balboa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
