The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, one of Denizlispor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Denizlispor. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Yesilköy. Ömür Özbekkan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rafettin İğdemir. 0-1. Ömer Rıza Ufki received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ejder Kaçkar came out and tried to block the shot, but Ömer Rıza Ufki slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Denizlispor's Ömer Rıza Ufki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ejder Kaçkar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Ateş Sırat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yesilköy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 25th match minute, Yesilköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İlyas Köker to maneuver through the defense. When Ömer Rıza Ufki came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Denizlispor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ömer Rıza Ufki couldn't finish the play. Rafettin İğdemir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İlyas Köker, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Yesilköy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ahmet Ege Nasuh fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ömer Rıza Ufki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Ejder Kaçkar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ahmet Ege Nasuh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ejder Kaçkar having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Ahmet Ege Nasuh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denizlispor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Ege Nasuh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karahan Taşkesen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ejder Kaçkar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ateş Sırat kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ateş Sırat to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Yesilköy's Ömür Özbekkan got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Koray Yuvakuran came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Denizlispor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Koray Yuvakuran couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Ege Nasuh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ejder Kaçkar having to make a save. Ahmet Ege Nasuh scored 2-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ejder Kaçkar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Yesilköy's Abdurrezzak Nedim got a free kick in the 64th minute. Ömer Rıza Ufki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ejder Kaçkar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Ömer Rıza Ufki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ahmet Ege Nasuh came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Denizlispor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Ege Nasuh couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Ömer Rıza Ufki made a precise shot to the right of Ejder Kaçkar. Yesilköy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by İlyas Köker during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Yesilköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İlyas Köker to maneuver through the defense. If Ömer Rıza Ufki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88thth minute of the game Ömer Rıza Ufki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yesilköy's Ejder Kaçkar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Ahmet Reha Sabit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denizlispor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Reha Sabit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ejder Kaçkar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Rıza Ufki in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Karahan Taşkesen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denizlispor's supporters rose to their feet, but Karahan Taşkesen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ejder Kaçkar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Ege Nasuh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Denizlispor players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
