The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Davut Tanyeri got free with Ertuğrul İlkcan in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gökcan Eymen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ahmet Turan Ortun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilmi Soytekin kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ertuğrul İlkcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alp Orsel, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Alp Orsel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ertuğrul İlkcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adem Ulukan ran back to his position shaking his head. Ahmet Davut Tanyeri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Ertuğrul İlkcan made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Gökcan Eymen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the game, Alp Orsel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ertuğrul İlkcan. Alp Orsel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 45th minute, Hilmi Soytekin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ertuğrul İlkcan. The goal made the score 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Adem Ulukan made the kick off in the second half. If Uğurcan Erenoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gençlerbirliği's Umut Haşmetli got a free kick in the 59th minute. When Ahmet Davut Tanyeri came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Sütlüce FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Davut Tanyeri couldn't finish the play. Gençlerbirliği's Ertuğrul İlkcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alp Orsel in the 80th minute of play. A hard shot 82 in the game by Umut Haşmetli from a close distance when the talented Ahmet Turan Ortun managed to make a qualified save. Sütlüce FK's players were relieved. Ertuğrul İlkcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alp Orsel in the 86th minute of the match.
