When Tayyar Ruşen came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Anamur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tayyar Ruşen couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute of the match Alpay Yıldıray sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Boran Kayaalp skillfully saved the ball. 21 minutes into the match, İrfan Aydın dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Seyfettin Gürtuna, 2-0. After 28 minutes, Mustafa Emrah Yamaner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baltalimani and the Anamur players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Baltalimani's Mustafa Emrah Yamaner got a free kick in the 28th minute. If İrfan Aydın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute of the match, Tayyar Ruşen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Seyfettin Gürtuna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. During the 31st minute of the match Mustafa Emrah Yamaner completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and İrfan Aydın made a kick off. Ali Kağan Sargın scored 3-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ahmet Boran Kayaalp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tayyar Ruşen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seyfettin Gürtuna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. İrfan Aydın might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seyfettin Gürtuna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İrfan Aydın ran back to his position shaking his head. Yavuz Bülent İlighan charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yavuz Bülent İlighan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tayyar Ruşen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Baltalimani's goal looked a bit too open when Tayyar Ruşen came free, but Seyfettin Gürtuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anamur's supporters rose to their feet, but İrfan Aydın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seyfettin Gürtuna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İrfan Aydın in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Seyfettin Gürtuna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baltalimani's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
