Karpuz Spor's Mustafa Anıl Kahveci got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Azmi Ezgü kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cimbom Oldboys's Behçet Derim got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ahmet Hakan Ortaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Anıl Kahveci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aşık Zirve having to make a save. In the 35th minute, Aydemir Coşan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ahmet Hakan Ortaç came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Karpuz Spor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Hakan Ortaç couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Cimbom Oldboys's Tan Çinuçin got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Göktürk Berksan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aşık Zirve skillfully saved the ball. In the 46th minute, Mustafa Anıl Kahveci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute, Karpuz Spor's Ahmet Hakan Ortaç dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Nasir Eker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beşir Ayyıldız was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Mustafa Anıl Kahveci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aşık Zirve having to interfere. A well placed Ahmet Hakan Ortaç short distance shot in the 71st minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Aşık Zirve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Hakan Ortaç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustafa Anıl Kahveci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cimbom Oldboys's Aşık Zirve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hakan Ortaç in the 80th minute of play. Mustafa Anıl Kahveci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Ahmet Hakan Ortaç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karpuz Spor's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Hakan Ortaç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aşık Zirve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aşık Zirve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Hakan Ortaç in the 91st minute of the match. If Ahmet Nasir Eker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Karpuz Spor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cimbom Oldboys throughout the match.
