Gazi Demirkan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Devlet Şenalp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 21 in the game by Altan Hekimoğlu from a close distance when the talented Devlet Şenalp managed to make a qualified save. Tekirdağspor's players were relieved. Altan Hekimoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Devlet Şenalp having to interfere. Devlet Şenalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gazi Demirkan in the 24th minute of the match. If Niyazi Uludağ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Altan Hekimoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Devlet Şenalp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Erkut Tunçkılıç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Edip Kırgız having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Niyazi Uludağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Yavuz Bülent Gülsoy came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Tekirdağspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yavuz Bülent Gülsoy couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Erkut Tunçkılıç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tekirdağspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Erkut Tunçkılıç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Edip Kırgız breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yavuz Bülent Gülsoy struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Mehmet Edip Kırgız didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tekirdağspor. After 47 played minutes SultangaziSk got a freekick which was hit by Gazi Demirkan. Erkut Tunçkılıç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Mehmet Edip Kırgız tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erkut Tunçkılıç to make the kick off. If Erkut Tunçkılıç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erkut Tunçkılıç took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mehmet Edip Kırgız. Mehmet Edip Kırgız dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Yavuz Bülent Gülsoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Edip Kırgız having to interfere. Mehmet Edip Kırgız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erkut Tunçkılıç in the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, SultangaziSk's Mehmet Edip Kırgız got control of the ball when Yavuz Bülent Gülsoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celal Saylan hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Gazi Demirkan didn't quite understand what happened when in the 82 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 92nd minute Erkut Tunçkılıç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Edip Kırgız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erkut Tunçkılıç was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 96th minute, SultangaziSk's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erkut Tunçkılıç fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
