Ahmet Ozan Yezid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selim Onuralp in the 4th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Güngören's Selim Onuralp in the 5th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ahmet Ozan Yezid was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Derik through an amazing save. Artun Visali struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Ahmet Ozan Yezid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Güngören. Artun Visali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Ahmet Ozan Yezid made a huge save. Şanver Suhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesur Çetinel in the 12th minute of the match. If Cesur Çetinel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derik's Ahmet Ozan Yezid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Derik from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Derik booed when Güngören was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mümtazer Özekan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Cesur Çetinel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şanver Suhan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ahmet Ozan Yezid was a little too slow when Selim Onuralp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-1. After 39 played minutes Güngören got a freekick which was hit by Uğur Oksay. Mümtazer Özekan charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mümtazer Özekan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Güngören was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mümtazer Özekan to maneuver through the defense. Güngören's Şanver Suhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesur Çetinel in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesur Çetinel made a kick off. Selim Onuralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Ozan Yezid having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Uygur Tuney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Güngören the free kick. The audience held their breath when Uygur Tuney in the 62nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Şanver Suhan's left hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Derik's zone, Selim Onuralp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Ozan Yezid came out of the goal and Selim Onuralp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Ozan Yezid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artun Visali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Selim Onuralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Derik's goalkeeper Ahmet Ozan Yezid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Derik's Cesur Çetinel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Şanver Suhan. That made the score 1-2 after 77 minutes of play. After 81 minutes of play, Güngören's Selim Onuralp made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmet Ozan Yezid was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Güngören's Mümtazer Özekan got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ahmet Ozan Yezid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artun Visali in the 90th minute of play. When Yaşar Koralp fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Derik's protests and gave Yaşar Koralp a yellow card for diving instead. Yaşar Koralp hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
