Asım Baytugay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Gürpinar's Anıl Ozan Oruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asım Baytugay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Binali Uçarer in the 47th minute of play forced Gevas's goalkeeper Asım Baytugay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arif Çelebi Turhan made a kick off. If Anıl Ozan Oruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arif Çelebi Turhan in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mehmet Hakkı Has prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mehmet Hakkı Has made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Çelebi Turhan in the 73rd minute of play. If Anıl Ozan Oruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 81st minute of the match Mümtazer Nasih completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mümtazer Nasih a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Gevas getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mümtazer Nasih hit a great ball. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gevas! When the match had been going on for 84 minutes, Gürpinar's Sacit Uzlet got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Asım Baytugay. Asım Baytugay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Binali Uçarer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurtuluş Ağçelik charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurtuluş Ağçelik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Gürpinar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurtuluş Ağçelik to maneuver through the defense. If Batı Birtan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Binali Uçarer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Asım Baytugay. That made the score 0-3 in the 96 minute of play. When the match was over Gürpinar could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gevas throughout the match.
