After 2 played minutes CLB Kocaeli got a freekick which was hit by Behlül Benli. After 8 minutes, Arif Çelebi Turhan made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. CLB Kocaeli's Teoman Hacıağa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Behlül Benli hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Batı Birtan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, CLB Kocaeli's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Çelebi Turhan came free, but Teoman Hacıağa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Gevas's Arif Çelebi Turhan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teoman Hacıağa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Arif Çelebi Turhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Batı Birtan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Teoman Hacıağa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Oğuz Vahdet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CLB Kocaeli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oğuz Vahdet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oğuz Vahdet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Asım Baytugay made a huge save. In the 34thth minute of the game Arif Çelebi Turhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CLB Kocaeli's Teoman Hacıağa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arif Çelebi Turhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Batı Birtan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Derya Baytugay to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes CLB Kocaeli got a freekick which was hit by Behlül Benli. Gevas's Çağdaş Sarvan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Teoman Hacıağa but with some difficulty. Arif Çelebi Turhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teoman Hacıağa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Gevas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durmuş Şemseddin to maneuver through the defense. Arif Çelebi Turhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Teoman Hacıağa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asım Baytugay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derya Baytugay in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Derya Baytugay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Asım Baytugay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, CLB Kocaeli's Teoman Hacıağa got control of the ball when Batı Birtan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Derya Baytugay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in CLB Kocaeli's zone, Arif Çelebi Turhan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teoman Hacıağa came out of the goal and Arif Çelebi Turhan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Batı Birtan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to CLB Kocaeli getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dorukhan Seccac hit a great ball. Batı Birtan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Teoman Hacıağa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arif Çelebi Turhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teoman Hacıağa was a little too slow when Arif Çelebi Turhan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 1-4. Gevas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
