Meram's Oğuzhan Yazargil got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haydar Özçin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anıl Ozan Oruz in the 17th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Binali Uçarer in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haydar Özçin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The attack was good, but when Songurhan Kavi in the 23rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 26 minutes into the game, Onur Ali Saykut was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meram's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gürpinar the free kick. After 26 played minutes Meram got a freekick which was hit by Onur Ali Saykut. Haydar Özçin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anıl Ozan Oruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Semi Özselen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Meram's Mehmet Hakkı Has threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Songurhan Kavi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 47 played minutes Meram got a freekick which was hit by Semi Özselen. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Binali Uçarer made the kick off in the second half. Güvenç Tokuztuğ charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Güvenç Tokuztuğ the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mehmet Hakkı Has showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Songurhan Kavi in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Meram getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Songurhan Kavi hit a great ball. Binali Uçarer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anıl Ozan Oruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Anıl Ozan Oruz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 79 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Haydar Özçin was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Anıl Ozan Oruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 90 minutes, Anıl Ozan Oruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gürpinar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anıl Ozan Oruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Meram was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Güvenç Tokuztuğ to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Sacit Uzlet from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Haydar Özçin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Haydar Özçin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 95 minutes into the match, Meram's goal looked a bit too open when Binali Uçarer came free, but Haydar Özçin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gürpinar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gürpinar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
