The Pertevniyal fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Pertevniyal's Enrico Iacovone looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 13th minute, Barlas Horasan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Baltürk fc's zone, Enrico Iacovone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yalçın Sonat came out of the goal and Enrico Iacovone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pertevniyal's Zafer Tavil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barlas Horasan in the 22nd minute of play. Berkem Yağızalp kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Baltürk fc's Berkem Yağızalp suffered a sore thigh after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ulu Secaat's late challenge caught a Baltürk fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulu Secaat helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Baltürk fc booed when Pertevniyal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulu Secaat didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ulu Secaat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Pertevniyal's Enrico Iacovone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yalçın Sonat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 36 minutes of play, Pertevniyal's Enrico Iacovone made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yalçın Sonat was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Offendahl in the 45th minute of play forced Baltürk fc's goalkeeper Yalçın Sonat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 minutes of play, Pertevniyal's Enrico Iacovone made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yalçın Sonat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrico Iacovone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Pertevniyal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ömer Onuk to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Yalçın Sonat throw himself and got hold of the ball when Enrico Iacovone in the 59thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 64th minute, Enrico Iacovone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pertevniyal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Pertevniyal's Enrico Iacovone was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 69th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Enrico Iacovone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yalçın Sonat having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrico Iacovone in the 86th minute of play forced Baltürk fc's goalkeeper Yalçın Sonat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albano Depsch in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Yalçın Sonat, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Baltürk fc's Yalçın Sonat got control of the ball when Albano Depsch tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Pertevniyal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Baltürk fc.
