Mete Ünsev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arda Ozan Serkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Devran Aydıntan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rıza Eraslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mete Ünsev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Azmi Buğdaycı in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Hüseyin Namal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PAOK the free kick. In the 24th match minute, zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hüseyin Namal to maneuver through the defense. When Özbek Beyzade fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü's protests and gave Özbek Beyzade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özbek Beyzade to maneuver through the defense. Ogün Yiğiter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Rıza Eraslan made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arda Ozan Serkan in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mete Ünsev saved zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü from getting behind. Rıza Eraslan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devran Aydıntan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute, Ogün Yiğiter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PAOK were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Devran Aydıntan was the one to do the kick off. Ali Haydar Hünkar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Semih Çağnur received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mete Ünsev came out and tried to block the shot, but Semih Çağnur slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 62nd minute. When Devran Aydıntan came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Devran Aydıntan couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in PAOK's zone, Devran Aydıntan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rıza Eraslan came out of the goal and Devran Aydıntan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arda Ozan Serkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Mete Ünsev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alper Devan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Ali Haydar Hünkar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, PAOK's goal looked a bit too open when Devran Aydıntan came free, but Rıza Eraslan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Ali Haydar Hünkar notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of PAOK's Rıza Eraslan. Rıza Eraslan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 85 minutes, Ali Haydar Hünkar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Haydar Hünkar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute Ali Haydar Hünkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rıza Eraslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. zEyVe GeNçLiK SpOr KuLüBü's Mete Ünsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Azmi Buğdaycı in the 96th minute of play. The PAOK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PAOK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
