Ahmet Kutsi Okbaş started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Güney was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şeref Ağar to maneuver through the defense. Gökçek Tuğalp scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Günalp Derman made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Muhsin Hanönü sent off a good shot on target. When Güney's Gökçek Tuğalp in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Besiri FK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Orçun Okyar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Besiri FK's Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Gökçek Tuğalp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Günalp Derman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Kutsi Okbaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Gökçek Tuğalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Gökçek Tuğalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Muhammet Yıldırım was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Besiri FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Güney the free kick. Güney's Tümer Güngör got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Besiri FK's Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gökçek Tuğalp in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gökçek Tuğalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Gökçek Tuğalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökçek Tuğalp in the 58th minute of play forced Besiri FK's goalkeeper Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Güney getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Cüneyt Eraltay hit a great ball. When Gökçek Tuğalp came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Güney fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gökçek Tuğalp couldn't finish the play. Tuğrul Armağan charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tuğrul Armağan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gökçek Tuğalp's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gökçek Tuğalp in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orçun Okyar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökçek Tuğalp in the 76th minute of play forced Besiri FK's goalkeeper Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gökçek Tuğalp was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Orçun Okyar in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ali Nabi İlhanoğlu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Besiri FK's Tuğrul Armağan got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Günalp Derman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhsin Hanönü in the 86th minute of the match. If Gökçek Tuğalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gökçek Tuğalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Güney were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
