The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Seyhan Zihni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edip Özgenay in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Ali Erdem Uz made a precise shot to the right of Seyhan Zihni. Alapli JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Alapli JK's Alaaddin Sertel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Seyhan Öztanır made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Seyhan Zihni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arman Budak in the 22nd minute. Reha Seha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Seyhan Öztanır having to make a save. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edip Özgenay in the 31st minute of play forced Alapli JK's goalkeeper Seyhan Zihni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Merinos SK booed when Alapli JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lefter Algın didn't get a good kick on the ball. Merinos SK's Abay Kutertan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alapli JK. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edip Özgenay to strike the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Ali Cafer Özmen fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alapli JK's protests and gave Ali Cafer Özmen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Ali Cafer Özmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Cafer Özmen kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Seyhan Zihni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arman Budak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Edip Özgenay came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Merinos SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edip Özgenay couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Alapli JK getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Reha Seha hit a great ball. Arman Budak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Seyhan Zihni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Reha Seha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Seyhan Öztanır was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. In the 94th match minute, Alapli JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Cafer Özmen to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Edip Özgenay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merinos SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
