Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cihangir's Devran İnanç started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, İsrafil Nesefi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alişan Cihaner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 15 played minutes, Istanbul's Arif Ensar Hatim shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samir Erol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Istanbul reached it. Vahap Sıraç hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Istanbul's Sedat Soysaltürk shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Samir Erol but with some difficulty. Alişan Cihaner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsrafil Nesefi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alişan Cihaner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devran İnanç in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Istanbul's goalkeeper Alişan Cihaner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Devran İnanç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Devran İnanç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cihangir's supporters rose to their feet, but Devran İnanç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alişan Cihaner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Cihangir's goalkeeper Samir Erol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mahir Polat. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Meriç Atasoy during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, Meriç Atasoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gökçe Gündüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alişan Cihaner having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Devran İnanç cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alişan Cihaner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arif Ensar Hatim kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Alişan Cihaner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ersin Beyhan in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute Devran İnanç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alişan Cihaner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, İsrafil Nesefi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cihangir's supporters rose to their feet, but İsrafil Nesefi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alişan Cihaner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th match minute, Istanbul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saruhan Ermiye to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökçe Gündüz in the 47th minute of play forced Istanbul's goalkeeper Alişan Cihaner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berkem Gülerce to make the kick off. The supporters of Cihangir booed when Istanbul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berkem Gülerce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devran İnanç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Devran İnanç struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Alişan Cihaner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cihangir. In the 59th of the match, Devran İnanç tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Alişan Cihaner got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Devran İnanç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arif Ensar Hatim hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahir Polat in the 69th minute of play forced Cihangir's goalkeeper Samir Erol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Istanbul's Ali Asım Raid got a free kick in the 71st minute. Sedat Soysaltürk kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. İsrafil Nesefi might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alişan Cihaner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İsrafil Nesefi ran back to his position shaking his head. Samir Erol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahir Polat in the 77th minute of play. İsrafil Nesefi might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alişan Cihaner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. İsrafil Nesefi ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 92 in the game by Devran İnanç from a close distance when the talented Alişan Cihaner managed to make a qualified save. Istanbul's players were relieved. Cihangir's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
