To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Korkutalp İdrisoğlu was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Ahmet Reha Sadri capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ahmet Reha Sadri really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mehmet Arınç charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Arınç the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Kars defense, Berkay Argün kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Varol Kaşif. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
