Spectators: 7351 (Terracing: 5514, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Musa Tuncalp took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Karesi's Tayfur Huzur in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gelibolu's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Karesi booed when Gelibolu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Galip Timurtas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Musa Tuncalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Sezgin Erva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Galip Timurtas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Karesi's Bektaş Veli Sebuk got a free kick in the 24th minute. Sezgin Erva had great luck who in the 25thth minute grab hold of the ball when Musa Tuncalp from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Eralp Koçarslan charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eralp Koçarslan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Karesi getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eralp Koçarslan hit a great ball. Karesi's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Musa Tuncalp 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Sezgin Erva made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Berkan Işıldar sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th match minute, Karesi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamit Atasagun to maneuver through the defense. Bektaş Veli Sebuk hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Musa Tuncalp's late challenge caught a Karesi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Musa Tuncalp helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gelibolu's Musa Tuncalp got a free kick in the 39th minute. Karesi's Sezgin Erva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musa Tuncalp in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Gelibolu booed when Karesi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Efe Ilgaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Sezgin Erva managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Gelibolu's Berkan Işıldar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tayfur Huzur was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Musa Tuncalp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sezgin Erva was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 60th minute, Ahmet Efe Ilgaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes Gelibolu got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Ferit Ünek. Berkan Işıldar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gelibolu's Musa Tuncalp managed to work through Karesi's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Musa Tuncalp dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Berkan Işıldar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gelibolu's supporters rose to their feet, but Berkan Işıldar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sezgin Erva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berkan Işıldar struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Sezgin Erva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelibolu. In the 78th minute, Musa Tuncalp made a precise shot to the right of Sezgin Erva. Karesi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 82 minutes into the match, Berkan Işıldar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sezgin Erva. Karesi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berkan Işıldar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Sezgin Erva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Musa Tuncalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Karesi's goal looked a bit too open when Berkan Işıldar came free, but Sezgin Erva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berkan Işıldar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Sezgin Erva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sezgin Erva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berkan Işıldar's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Musa Tuncalp struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Sezgin Erva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gelibolu. Gelibolu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
