Spectators: 7239 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Bayburt's Gökcan Tardu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in KASTAMONUSPOR's zone, Kutlualp Temizsan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yıldıray Şamil came out of the goal and Kutlualp Temizsan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the KASTAMONUSPOR defense, Gökcan Tardu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yıldıray Şamil. The KASTAMONUSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yıldıray Şamil should have stopped the shot. Yağızalp Malik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Alaaddin Uraza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of KASTAMONUSPOR booed when Bayburt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cebrail Songün didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as KASTAMONUSPOR's Sabit Esentürk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alaaddin Uraza. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. Sancarbey Canpolat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alaaddin Uraza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bayburt's Alaaddin Uraza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sancarbey Canpolat in the 24th minute of play. When Sancarbey Canpolat came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the KASTAMONUSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sancarbey Canpolat couldn't finish the play. Yıldıray Şamil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökcan Tardu in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Gökcan Tardu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bayburt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gökcan Tardu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Burhan Yorgun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Yıldıray Şamil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yıldıray Şamil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökcan Tardu in the 39th minute of play. Güner Korhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alaaddin Uraza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yağızalp Malik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sancarbey Canpolat made a kick off. Kutlualp Temizsan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Yıldıray Şamil made a huge save. Alaaddin Uraza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sancarbey Canpolat's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. KASTAMONUSPOR's Sancarbey Canpolat got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yağızalp Malik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaaddin Uraza having to interfere. When Bora Yabgu fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KASTAMONUSPOR's protests and gave Bora Yabgu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, KASTAMONUSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bora Yabgu to maneuver through the defense. Kutlualp Temizsan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Yıldıray Şamil skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Yıldıray Şamil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cebrail Songün in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Burhan Yorgun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yıldıray Şamil, 1-3. In the 81st minute, Sancarbey Canpolat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alaaddin Uraza was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Alaaddin Uraza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Chants of Bayburt echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as KASTAMONUSPOR had held the ball for most of the match.
