Kürşat Sümer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 12 minutes, Ali Haydar Sarih managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KASTAMONUSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Haydar Sarih was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Güner Korhan sped through Kepez's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kürşat Sümer. Güner Korhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kürşat Sümer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdullatif Baytugay kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Yağızalp Malik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Sancarbey Canpolat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yıldıray Şamil made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Abdullatif Baytugay sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in KASTAMONUSPOR's zone, Sinan Kutberk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yıldıray Şamil came out of the goal and Sinan Kutberk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, KASTAMONUSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Bedrettin Cihansah came free, but Yıldıray Şamil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bedrettin Cihansah kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Sabit Esentürk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kürşat Sümer. Kepez's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bedrettin Cihansah struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Yıldıray Şamil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kepez. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Yıldıray Şamil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sinan Kutberk in the 52nd minute of the match. Kürşat Sümer made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Sancarbey Canpolat sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Kepez's Abdullatif Baytugay got a free kick in the 57th minute. Yağızalp Malik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Yağızalp Malik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Sancarbey Canpolat fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ahmet Nasir Sertaçgil might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kürşat Sümer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Nasir Sertaçgil ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Bedrettin Cihansah in the 68th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Bedrettin Cihansah scored 2-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yıldıray Şamil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yıldıray Şamil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedrettin Cihansah in the 75th minute of the match. Güner Korhan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kürşat Sümer came out and tried to block the shot, but Güner Korhan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 79th minute. Yağızalp Malik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, KASTAMONUSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Abdullatif Baytugay came free, but Yıldıray Şamil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sinan Kutberk in the 92nd minute of play forced KASTAMONUSPOR's goalkeeper Yıldıray Şamil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. KASTAMONUSPOR walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
