Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mustafa Ali Tümenbay made the kick off and thus started the match. Umut Sarphan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birol Hazer having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kutlualp Rafi got free with Birol Hazer in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nuralp Serkan hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cermik booed when Unkapani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdi Bintuğ didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umut Sarphan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umut Sarphan made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Ekber Serir sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birol Hazer skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Umut Sarphan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cermik's supporters rose to their feet, but Umut Sarphan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birol Hazer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Unkapani's zone, Umut Sarphan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birol Hazer came out of the goal and Umut Sarphan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Mustafa Ali Tümenbay took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Abdulaziz Usta to make any attempt to save it. If Kutlualp Rafi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
