Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sami Sungun in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Doğa Kandemir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Güray Emektar hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kozakli SK getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ediz Uluçkan hit a great ball. Özalp Aktay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Nabi Emek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. With a little luck, Sinop F.C.'s Doğa Kandemir got control of the ball when Necati İstanbul tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 25 minutes, Sami Sungun made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sinop F.C.'s Doğa Kandemir tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Sami Sungun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kozakli SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sami Sungun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doğa Kandemir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute Şerif Özdoru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Nabi Emek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doğa Kandemir made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Necati İstanbul sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 43 minutes, Sami Sungun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kozakli SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sami Sungun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Özalp Aktay charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Özalp Aktay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Özalp Aktay hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute of the match Kazım Fırıncıoğlu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doğa Kandemir skillfully saved the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şerif Özdoru made a kick off. With a little luck, Kozakli SK's Ali Nabi Emek got control of the ball when Birol Elçibey tried to sneak it across the goal line. 2-1 became the score in the 68th minute when Şerif Özdoru elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Şerif Özdoru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 78 minutes, Sami Sungun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But to his dismay, Necati İstanbul quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After 83 played minutes Kozakli SK got a freekick which was hit by Rauf Andaç. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sami Sungun in the 87th minute of play forced Sinop F.C.'s goalkeeper Doğa Kandemir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sinop F.C.'s zone, Sami Sungun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doğa Kandemir came out of the goal and Sami Sungun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sami Sungun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Özalp Aktay was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Kozakli SK booed when Sinop F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özalp Aktay didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kozakli SK had won after a very even match.
