After 20 played minutes Yunusemre spor got a freekick which was hit by Hacı Yıldıray. In the 24th match minute, Yunusemre spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yiğit Utkan to maneuver through the defense. If Remzi Çeliksu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gürhan Hezarfen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remzi Çeliksu in the 34th minute of play. Gürhan Hezarfen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Emin Er, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Bircan Zahir kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes, Göztepe Sk's Barbaros Tüzüner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gürhan Hezarfen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Göztepe Sk reached it. Barbaros Tüzüner shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 43rd play minute Ahmet Necdet Boran came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gürhan Hezarfen. 2-0. Abayhan Taze kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamza Uygur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kamber Sahir kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Ahmet Necdet Boran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gürhan Hezarfen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gürhan Hezarfen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Necdet Boran in the 63rd minute of play. Hacı Yıldıray hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Yunusemre spor's Berke Özkul got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yunusemre spor's Gürhan Hezarfen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Necdet Boran in the 82nd minute of play. Remzi Çeliksu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gürhan Hezarfen having to interfere. There was no doubt that Göztepe Sk were the better team. Göztepe Sk's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
