Vardar's Muharrem Türev got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ahmet Kağan Saffet came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Vardar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Kağan Saffet couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Ahmet Kağan Saffet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volkan Eryiğit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seyfettin Hozatlı hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Volkan Eryiğit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Kağan Saffet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Necdet Boran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vardar's Ahmet Kağan Saffet got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Baran Nesil fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Göztepe Sk's protests and gave Baran Nesil a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Baran Nesil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Ahmet Nedim Osman in the 56th minute really tested Volkan Eryiğit's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vardar's zone, Remzi Çeliksu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aycan Yorgun came out of the goal and Remzi Çeliksu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vardar's Ahmet Kağan Saffet got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Muharrem Türev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkan Eryiğit having to interfere. A collision led to Göztepe Sk getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Hilmi Özsan hit a great ball. Ahmet Kağan Saffet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Göztepe Sk booed when Vardar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Nedim Osman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Remzi Çeliksu came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Göztepe Sk fans jumped to their feet. After 86 played minutes Vardar got a freekick which was hit by Vahap Saye. With a little luck, Göztepe Sk's Volkan Eryiğit got control of the ball when Muharrem Türev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ahmet Kağan Saffet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volkan Eryiğit having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
