Tugay Güdü hit a great ball. In the 7thth minute of the game Besim Şemsi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HATAY FK's Sarp Mengübay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Besim Şemsi scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sarp Mengübay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Kemaliye's Niyazi Şahsuvar got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bilgin Özger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, HATAY FK's Tamer Nusrettin threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pekin Özata, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 21st minute, Bilgin Özger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, HATAY FK's Metehan Savtuna got a free kick in the 25th minute. A collision led to HATAY FK getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Tugay Güdü hit a great ball. A hard and well directed shot from Barış Tanak led 28 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. HATAY FK's Sarp Mengübay became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-2. Bilgin Özger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bilgin Özger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sarp Mengübay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. If Besim Şemsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sarp Mengübay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Besim Şemsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 44th minute Bilgin Özger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarp Mengübay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Kemaliye were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pekin Özata to make the kick off. In the 60th minute of the game, Yaman Ergintuğ landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Taner Temcit fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HATAY FK's protests and gave Taner Temcit a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes HATAY FK got a freekick which was hit by Taner Temcit. Besim Şemsi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Sarp Mengübay skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Besim Şemsi struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Sarp Mengübay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kemaliye. Niyazi Şahsuvar kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, HATAY FK's Ali Atıf Eskicioğlu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Besim Şemsi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Sarp Mengübay when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Besim Şemsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sarp Mengübay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Besim Şemsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Besim Şemsi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sarp Mengübay having to make a save. HATAY FK's Sarp Mengübay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gazi Kirtekin in the 86th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Besim Şemsi took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Sarp Mengübay to make any attempt to save it. Kemaliye's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
