The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR's Göksun Orgunalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alp İzmirli in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Arın Ferhat Yuvakuran threw the ball into play from the sideline. GalaXI's Hüseyin Cahit Sonat quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Göksun Orgunalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerim Sunay in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Habib Özkar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR's Göksun Orgunalp. Göksun Orgunalp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of GalaXI booed when ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Efe Mithat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Göksun Orgunalp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kerim Sunay's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Gafur Taygun was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Yavuz Selim Gündeş capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yavuz Selim Gündeş really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 23rd minute Habib Özkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göksun Orgunalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kerim Sunay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GalaXI's Habib Özkar got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alp İzmirli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göksun Orgunalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Habib Özkar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Cahit Sonat came free, but Göksun Orgunalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Habib Özkar took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Göksun Orgunalp. Göksun Orgunalp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Kerim Sunay sped through ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Göksun Orgunalp. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the game, Habib Özkar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GalaXI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR the free kick. In the 51st minute, Habib Özkar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR's zone, Kerim Sunay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göksun Orgunalp came out of the goal and Kerim Sunay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Akın Birhan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Göksun Orgunalp, 1-4. Göksun Orgunalp stood somewhat misplaced when Kerim Sunay came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 60 minute. Alp İzmirli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Göksun Orgunalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR's zone, Kerim Sunay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Göksun Orgunalp came out of the goal and Kerim Sunay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th match minute, ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sezai Azim to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see GalaXI's Hüseyin Cahit Sonat in action when he in the 71st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! GalaXI's Kerim Sunay was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 74th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alp İzmirli during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gafur Taygun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yavuz Selim Gündeş in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Alp İzmirli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of GalaXI booed when ATAKUM BELEDİYESPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Haşim Zahir didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Kerim Sunay took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Göksun Orgunalp to make any attempt to save it. GalaXI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
