Ünsal Çakman came out of the goal and Cihangir Ersayın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sabanözü booed when Esentepe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Osman Haşmetli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafettin Balyemez hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Sabanözü's Cihangir Ersayın in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mehmet Osman Haşmetli during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şanver Betim in the 54th minute of play forced Sabanözü's goalkeeper Batu Cem Beşir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esentepe's Ünsal Çakman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Esentepe from getting a goal against them. Cihangir Ersayın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ünsal Çakman having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Sabanözü got a freekick which was hit by Volkan Sorgun. In the 67th minute, Şanver Betim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Batu Cem Beşir was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Cihangir Ersayın came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ünsal Çakman could save by the left post. 72 minutes into the game, Aşık İşkembeci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 80th minute Gökçen Alan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batu Cem Beşir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gökçen Alan took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Batu Cem Beşir. Batu Cem Beşir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. 90 minutes into the match, Esentepe's goal looked a bit too open when Volkan Sorgun came free, but Ünsal Çakman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ünsal Çakman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakkı Kenan Kartekin in the 91st minute. When Ercüment Baysu came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Sabanözü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercüment Baysu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 96 minutes, Mehmet Osman Haşmetli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esentepe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Osman Haşmetli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esentepe were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sabanözü for a fine match.
