Abdulbaki Cingöz made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Başaran Sancaktar sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th play minute Müfit Zihni came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abdulbaki Cingöz. 1-1. The supporters of Malmö FC booed when TuRKiYe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mehmet Bedri Oktan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hüseyin Cahit İlkim might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sinan Ceri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hüseyin Cahit İlkim ran back to his position shaking his head. Mehmet Bedri Oktan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Abdulbaki Cingöz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fetih Çağlar kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Malmö FC booed when TuRKiYe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Müfit Zihni didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Malmö FC's Ömer Rıdvan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sinan Ceri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 36 played minutes, Malmö FC's Mümtazer Peşrev shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sinan Ceri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malmö FC reached it. If Başaran Sancaktar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Bedri Oktan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Abdulbaki Cingöz made a huge save. After the first half Malmö FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Başaran Sancaktar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malmö FC's Abdulbaki Cingöz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Başaran Sancaktar in the 60th minute of play. Ali Kürşat Kayhan kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Mehmet Bedri Oktan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abdulbaki Cingöz. Malmö FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mehmet Bedri Oktan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Başaran Sancaktar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Abdulbaki Cingöz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mehmet Bedri Oktan came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the TuRKiYe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Bedri Oktan couldn't finish the play. After having played for 74 minutes, Ömer Rıdvan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmö FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ömer Rıdvan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 80 minutes of play, TuRKiYe's Mehmet Bedri Oktan made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdulbaki Cingöz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute Mehmet Bedri Oktan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulbaki Cingöz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Sinan Ceri successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ömer Rıdvan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Başar Acaröz's late challenge caught a Malmö FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Başar Acaröz helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of TuRKiYe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Malmö FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Malmö FC's Mümtazer Peşrev got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sinan Ceri. Malmö FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
