In the 11thth minute of the game Duran Tekinel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TuRKiYe's Sinan Ceri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Bogazkale's Duran Tekinel in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TuRKiYe's goalie prevented a goal. After 19 minutes TuRKiYe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ertuğrul Aksungur who took care of the corner kick. 20 minutes into the game, one of Bogazkale:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Başaran Sancaktar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Müjdat Koç hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The long shot by Fetih Çağlar in the 30th minute really tested Ahmet Harun Tugal's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Duran Tekinel came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Bogazkale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duran Tekinel couldn't finish the play. Mehmet Bedri Oktan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Harun Tugal having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mehmet Bedri Oktan made a kick off. After having played for 60 minutes, Başaran Sancaktar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TuRKiYe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Başaran Sancaktar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, TuRKiYe's Başaran Sancaktar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Harun Tugal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. TuRKiYe's Mehmet Bedri Oktan got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehmet Bedri Oktan in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Harun Tugal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Başaran Sancaktar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ahmet Harun Tugal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
