After 2 minutes, Alaaddin Sait mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malmö FC and the Hasan Kesix players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hasan Kesix booed when Malmö FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alaaddin Sait didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 minutes of play Malmö FC's Alaaddin Sait was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 8th minute, Alaaddin Sait hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hüseyin Cahit İlkim's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Taha Cömert firmly grabbed it by the left post. Abdulbaki Cingöz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Recai Hunalp in the 21st minute of play. Ali Kürşat Kayhan hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Güray Kumanbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sancarbey Halıcıoğlu charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sancarbey Halıcıoğlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Güray Kumanbay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdulbaki Cingöz was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 33rd minute, Güray Kumanbay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Recai Hunalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abdulbaki Cingöz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Recai Hunalp's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hüseyin Cahit İlkim to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Güray Kumanbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulbaki Cingöz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hüseyin Cahit İlkim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 58 minutes, Ömer Rıza Sökmener mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hasan Kesix and the Malmö FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60thth minute of the game Hüseyin Cahit İlkim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hasan Kesix's Taha Cömert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Hasan Kesix's Ahmet Ali Şehzade got a free kick in the 70th minute. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Recai Hunalp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Güray Kumanbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulbaki Cingöz having to interfere. Ömer Rıdvan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüseyin Cahit İlkim in the 85th minute of play forced Hasan Kesix's goalkeeper Taha Cömert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Recai Hunalp struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Abdulbaki Cingöz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hasan Kesix. A collision led to Malmö FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ali Kürşat Kayhan hit a great ball. Güray Kumanbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulbaki Cingöz having to interfere. Malmö FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
