Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Baran Tugay in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şansal Katib prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Şansal Katib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Baran Tugay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yüksel Yalçuk charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yüksel Yalçuk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of AKHİSARSPOR booed when Uzunköprü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yüksel Yalçuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nejat Alp Arkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kılıçalp Şaki in the 21st minute of play. Ali Baran Tugay kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Şansal Katib made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Akif Rüstem sent off a good shot on target. Şansal Katib didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Baran Tugay went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Şansal Katib was a little too slow when Akif Rüstem got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 3-0. Nejat Alp Arkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onuralp Özsu in the 40th minute of the match. Ulaş Baloğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Emir Açıkel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Şansal Katib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Baran Tugay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Ali Baran Tugay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferit Muharrem hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Şansal Katib showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akif Rüstem, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Ali Baran Tugay scored 4-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şansal Katib, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Müjdat Okdağ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Müjdat Okdağ had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nejat Alp Arkan. Uzunköprü's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Müjdat Okdağ was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. In the 80th minute Müjdat Okdağ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nejat Alp Arkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nejat Alp Arkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semavi Pozan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erol Özinal's late challenge caught a AKHİSARSPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
