The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Baran Tugay in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Kağan Tuna saved Finike from getting behind. After taking down the ball on Uzunköprü's corner Erol Özinal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ahmet Kağan Tuna quite easily take care of the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Uzunköprü's Ali Baran Tugay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Kağan Tuna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Akif Rüstem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Kağan Tuna having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Finike's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Baran Tugay came free, but Ahmet Kağan Tuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Finike defense, Akif Rüstem kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Kağan Tuna. The Finike fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Kağan Tuna should have stopped the shot. Erol Özinal kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Fazıl Pekel struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Nejat Alp Arkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Baran Tugay to make the kick off.
