Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mustafa Hakan Ötüken started the match with the kick off. Mustafa Hakan Ötüken took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şansal Katib. Şansal Katib dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Kunter Uçanok notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of AKHİSARSPOR's Şansal Katib. Şansal Katib was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Şansal Katib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Selahaddin Cangiray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Mustafa Hakan Ötüken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şansal Katib saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bulut Hozatlı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Müjdat Okdağ in the 14th minute. AKHİSARSPOR's Şansal Katib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kunter Uçanok in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, Galatasaray's Bulut Hozatlı got control of the ball when Müjdat Okdağ tried to sneak it across the goal line. Semavi Pozan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bulut Hozatlı having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Müjdat Okdağ's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bulut Hozatlı was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. When Semavi Pozan came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the AKHİSARSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Semavi Pozan couldn't finish the play. Müjdat Okdağ who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Bulut Hozatlı when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Semavi Pozan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bulut Hozatlı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Selahaddin Cangiray cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Şansal Katib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Şansal Katib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Hakan Ötüken in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

In the 55th minute, Mustafa Hakan Ötüken reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Şansal Katib. The goal made the score 1-4. AKHİSARSPOR's Müjdat Okdağ got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bilge Sanal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bulut Hozatlı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Ahmet Korcan Yöntem got a free kick in the 85th minute. Müjdat Okdağ recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Galatasaray were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over AKHİSARSPOR's much stronger midfield.
