But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aras Görkem Siddik couldn't finish the play. Güntekin Perver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derman Peyami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baransel Tanuğur in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Güntekin Perver saved Bilkent from getting behind. FENERBAHCE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baransel Tanuğur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Aras Görkem Siddik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Güntekin Perver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baransel Tanuğur in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Timur Uyun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baransel Tanuğur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Güntekin Perver having to make a save. Aras Görkem Siddik might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Güntekin Perver. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bilkent's goalkeeper Güntekin Perver, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aras Görkem Siddik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Bilkent players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FENERBAHCE were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timur Uyun to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aras Görkem Siddik in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Güntekin Perver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baransel Tanuğur struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Güntekin Perver didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FENERBAHCE. 61 minutes into the game, Umut Tonguç recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Güntekin Perver. Umut Tonguç showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 81stth minute of the game Aras Görkem Siddik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bilkent's Güntekin Perver was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aras Görkem Siddik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güntekin Perver having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Atabek Sıraç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Güntekin Perver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vural Aksel in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Timur Uyun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bilkent's supporters rose to their feet, but Timur Uyun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seyit Olgun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FENERBAHCE booed when Bilkent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timur Uyun didn't get a good kick on the ball.
