After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe FK's zone, Nurettin Özbek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oğuz Kaynak came out of the goal and Nurettin Özbek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 played minutes Fenerbahçe FK got a freekick which was hit by Meriç Kutlutekin. Ahmet İlke Hazin charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ahmet İlke Hazin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celil Ramiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meriç Kutlutekin in the 39th minute of the match. Zekeriya Karakan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Oğuz Kaynak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ovacik FK booed when Fenerbahçe FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esat Aksakal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esat Aksakal to make the kick off. After 81 minutes, Mesut Bayramoğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbahçe FK and the Ovacik FK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
