Mehmet Bilge Ersal charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mehmet Bilge Ersal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, TRABZONSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Bilge Ersal to maneuver through the defense. TRABZONSPOR's Nebi Özol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yağızhan Adıvar in the 19th minute of play. Şentürk Koyas struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Behzat Akşit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TRABZONSPOR. 31 minutes into the match, TRABZONSPOR's Şentürk Koyas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Behzat Akşit narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Mehmet Bilge Ersal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Behzat Akşit was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the referee ended the match the TRABZONSPOR players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
