After some careless play in the Fenerbahçe 2 defense, Ahmet Yahya Tuna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Levent Gökkır. The Fenerbahçe 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Levent Gökkır should have stopped the shot. Levent Gökkır took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pars Taykoç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe 2's goalkeeper Levent Gökkır had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cihan Arısoy. 18 minutes into the game, Kılıç Uruç was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selcuk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenerbahçe 2 the free kick. Fenerbahçe 2 made a substitution. Berker Rıza Heybetli replaced Mehmet Kutan. In the 18th minute, one of Selcuk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Selcuk. Levent Gökkır didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmet Yahya Tuna went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 28th match minute, Selcuk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pars Taykoç to maneuver through the defense. Levent Gökkır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pars Taykoç in the 29th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Berker Rıza Heybetli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şener Kuthan was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Ahmet Yahya Tuna's late challenge caught a Fenerbahçe 2's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Yahya Tuna helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Berker Rıza Heybetli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Şener Kuthan was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

Celalettin Yiğiter scored 6-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Levent Gökkır, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Selcuk fully deserved thier win.
