Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ahmet Hafiz İltekin started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Trabzonspor's Birsel Genişyürek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehmet Oğuz Adsoy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Fatih Kadir came free, but Abdi Saygın Naşit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Özer Akburç scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdi Saygın Naşit, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abdi Saygın Naşit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fatih Kadir in the 15th minute of the match. Abdi Saygın Naşit stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fatih Kadir's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Fatih Kadir came free, but Abdi Saygın Naşit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Yesilyurt FK's Hasan Ali Siyami sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abdi Saygın Naşit narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yesilyurt FK were furious when Abdulmelik Sayyad was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 24 minutes into the game, one of Yesilyurt FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Trabzonspor a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ahmet Çağrı Taceddin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yesilyurt FK's Mehmet Oğuz Adsoy. 2-1. In the 30th minute, Özer Akburç made a precise shot to the right of Abdi Saygın Naşit. Trabzonspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After 33 played minutes Yesilyurt FK got a freekick which was hit by Tolga Işık.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Özer Akburç to strike the kick off in the second half. When Şenel Özsan came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Trabzonspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şenel Özsan couldn't finish the play. If Özer Akburç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Abdi Saygın Naşit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Özer Akburç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Özer Akburç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goal looked a bit too open when Fazıl Özender came free, but Abdi Saygın Naşit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Oğuz Adsoy came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzonspor's Birsel Genişyürek. But to his dismay, Birsel Genişyürek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. When Fazıl Özender came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Yesilyurt FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fazıl Özender couldn't finish the play. If Birsel Genişyürek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trabzonspor's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
