The supporters of Gelibolu FK booed when GÜMELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erdal Okman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahir İldeniz in the 17th minute of play forced GÜMELİSPOR's goalkeeper Durmuş Tezcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Mahir İldeniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gelibolu FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mahir İldeniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Demirhan Seyfeddin to strike the kick off in the second half. Demirhan Seyfeddin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Demirhan Seyfeddin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 minutes of play, Gelibolu FK's Mahir İldeniz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durmuş Tezcan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 64 minutes, Mahir İldeniz made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. GÜMELİSPOR's Durmuş Tezcan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Olcay Orkun Tekiner kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Durmuş Tezcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahir İldeniz in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Asrın Orhun managed to get in a good position for a shot. GÜMELİSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Asrın Orhun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mesut Bilgetay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Demirhan Seyfeddin might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Durmuş Tezcan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Demirhan Seyfeddin ran back to his position shaking his head. Gürol Candar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durmuş Tezcan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. GÜMELİSPOR's Durmuş Tezcan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save GÜMELİSPOR from getting a goal against them. Mahir İldeniz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Durmuş Tezcan made a huge save. A collision led to Gelibolu FK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bünyamin Salih hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, GÜMELİSPOR's Güngör Dindar tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Durmuş Tezcan made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Mahir İldeniz sent off a good shot on target. If Mahir İldeniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th play minute Mahir İldeniz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Durmuş Tezcan. 0-4. When the match was over Gelibolu FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GÜMELİSPOR throughout the match.
