Koray Dokuzoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demirhan Seyfeddin in the 14th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Ali Vedat Talayhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MerzifonSpor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gelibolu FK the free kick. The supporters of Gelibolu FK booed when MerzifonSpor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Vedat Talayhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Akgün Seferoğlulları hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Gelibolu FK getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Engin Musa hit a great ball. Feyyaz Vecid charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. MerzifonSpor's Murat Selim Onural couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. Koray Dokuzoğlu came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Gelibolu FK's Mahir İldeniz. But to his dismay, Mahir İldeniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mahir İldeniz to strike the kick off in the second half. Koray Dokuzoğlu made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Mahir İldeniz sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mahir İldeniz got free with Koray Dokuzoğlu in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Saadettin Dağdelen fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MerzifonSpor's protests and gave Saadettin Dağdelen a yellow card for diving instead. Saadettin Dağdelen hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Koray Dokuzoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olcay Orkun Tekiner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute of the match, Mahir İldeniz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Koray Dokuzoğlu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gelibolu FK's Mesut Bilgetay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüsamettin Özel in the 69th minute of play. If Mahir İldeniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MerzifonSpor's Koray Dokuzoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save MerzifonSpor from getting a goal against them. In the 77th match minute, Gelibolu FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olcay Orkun Tekiner to maneuver through the defense. After 86 minutes of play MerzifonSpor's Feyyaz Vecid was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Bünyamin Salih succeeded in the game's 88th minute to get real power on a long shot . MerzifonSpor's Koray Dokuzoğlu hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-2! Gelibolu FK's Demirhan Seyfeddin got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mahir İldeniz scored 0-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Koray Dokuzoğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. MerzifonSpor's Ali Vedat Talayhan got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
