Spectators: 7263 (Terracing: 5449, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) Erzurumspor's Aral Bekiroğlu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes in the game, William Van Geel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Atalan Sadi having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Suphi Keçili was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samsat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Erzurumspor the free kick. The supporters of Erzurumspor booed when Samsat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Suphi Keçili didn't get a good kick on the ball. If William Van Geel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Balaban Özgur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nazım Baba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Suphi Keçili left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samsat fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, Samsat's Atalan Sadi got control of the ball when Berke Kainat tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute Aral Bekiroğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atalan Sadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atalan Sadi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aral Bekiroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. But to his dismay, Balaban Özgur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Hasan Tahsin Yenal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atalan Sadi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aral Bekiroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, William Van Geel took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Atalan Sadi to make any attempt to save it. William Van Geel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Atalan Sadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nazım Baba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgür Ulutay, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Balaban Özgur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Özgür Ulutay was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Atalan Sadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aral Bekiroğlu in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aral Bekiroğlu in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atalan Sadi saved Samsat from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Van Geel in the 61st minute of play forced Samsat's goalkeeper Atalan Sadi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When William Van Geel came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Erzurumspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Van Geel couldn't finish the play. When Erzurumspor's Aral Bekiroğlu in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Atalan Sadi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Atalan Sadi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Berke Kainat went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aral Bekiroğlu in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atalan Sadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
