After 13 played minutes, HALICISPOR's Bircan Onural shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in HALICISPOR reached it. 15 minutes into the game, Tahtakale FK's Ramiz Olcaytug nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehmet Oğuz Kasım made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yıldırım Bala in the 19th minute of play forced Tahtakale FK's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tahtakale FK's zone, Yıldırım Bala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı came out of the goal and Yıldırım Bala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sermet Çeliker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Tahtakale FK's Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı got control of the ball when Yıldırım Bala tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gökhan Gündüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Oğuz Kasım having to interfere. If Ramiz Olcaytug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tahtakale FK's Gökhan Gündüz got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gökhan Gündüz made a kick off. Tahtakale FK's Gökhan Gündüz got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Tahtakale FK's goal looked a bit too open when Yıldırım Bala came free, but Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sermet Çeliker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Ramiz Olcaytug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes HALICISPOR got a freekick which was hit by Seyit Başhekim. With a little luck, HALICISPOR's Mehmet Oğuz Kasım got control of the ball when Ramiz Olcaytug tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Tahtakale FK's Gökhan Gündüz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Oğuz Kasım narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mehmet Oğuz Kasım made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gökhan Gündüz in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tahtakale FK's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Tahtakale FK got a freekick which was hit by Gökhan Gündüz. Sermet Çeliker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95thth minute of the game Yıldırım Bala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tahtakale FK's Mehmet Hakkı Hızarcı was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gökhan Gündüz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Mehmet Oğuz Kasım tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tahtakale FK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
