The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes of play, Kütahyaspor's Ahmet Hamdi Camcıoğlu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şeref Sarıkaya was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute Mehmet Bilge Ramiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Çakır Adem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Hamdi Camcıoğlu struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Şeref Sarıkaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kütahyaspor. After a defensive mix-up in Kütahyaspor's zone, Mehmet Bilge Ramiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Çakır Adem came out of the goal and Mehmet Bilge Ramiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Çakır Adem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmet Nedim Arkan went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ahmet Kağan Can fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şeref Sarıkaya having to interfere. Halit Ziya Baybora hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Mehmet Emrah Baybars, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ahmet Kağan Can sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Akgöller were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Nedim Arkan to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Ahmet Hamdi Camcıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şeref Sarıkaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şeref Sarıkaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Kağan Can in the 58th minute of the match. Çakır Adem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Nedim Arkan in the 61st minute of play. When Ahmet Nedim Arkan came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Akgöller fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Nedim Arkan couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Akgöller's Ahmet Nedim Arkan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. 1-4 became the score in the 75th minute when Ahmet Nedim Arkan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Kağan Can in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şeref Sarıkaya saved Akgöller from getting behind. A collision led to Akgöller getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Hüseyin Tekinel hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Kağan Can in the 90th minute of play forced Akgöller's goalkeeper Şeref Sarıkaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hüseyin Tekinel fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Akgöller's protests and gave Hüseyin Tekinel a yellow card for diving instead. Hüseyin Tekinel kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Şeref Sarıkaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Kağan Can in the 98th minute of the match. The Akgöller supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Akgöller would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
