The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Derya Demiray showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Işık Gümüşcü during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute Ahmet Harun Okergun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İbrahim Efe Kayan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match, Cumhur Acabey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Derya Demiray saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the Samsunspor defense, Cumhur Acabey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derya Demiray. The Samsunspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Derya Demiray should have stopped the shot. Cumhur Acabey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Derya Demiray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Gürkan Eski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Derya Demiray made a huge save. Gürkan Eski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Samsunspor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Derya Demiray had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Tayyar Okdemir's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Adakli's Cumhur Acabey got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gürkan Eski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haşmet Dafi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İbrahim Efe Kayan having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Behzat Çakır made a kick off. İbrahim Efe Kayan made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Haşmet Dafi sent off a good shot on target. Cumhur Acabey succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Ali Behzat Çakır received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. İbrahim Efe Kayan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sezer Özduran's late challenge caught a Adakli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Adakli fans cheered their team off the field, for while Samsunspor had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
