The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tayfun Ahid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Göksun Temizer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 6th minute when Ogün Bağcı elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Göksun Temizer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ogün Bağcı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Başaran Coşan took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Göksun Temizer. Göksun Temizer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tayfun Ahid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Göksun Temizer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Silen Football Club getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cavit Yasin hit a great ball. Sebati Kutlay, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tayfun Ahid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Silen Football Club's Cavit Yasin got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Numan Ergüner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Göktan Bolat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tayfun Ahid in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Göksun Temizer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ogün Bağcı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göksun Temizer having to interfere. Silen Football Club's Göksun Temizer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tayfun Ahid in the 36th minute of play. Numan Ergüner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Müslüm Çetinsoy in the 43rd minute. Silen Football Club's Göktan Bolat got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göktan Bolat to make the kick off. If Ogün Bağcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When İzzet Kabadayı fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beşiktaş's protests and gave İzzet Kabadayı a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Beşiktaş was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İzzet Kabadayı to maneuver through the defense. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 59th minute, but Göksun Temizer got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Silen Football Club hanging dry this time. In the 68th minute Müslüm Çetinsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Numan Ergüner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Göksun Temizer made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Tayfun Ahid sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Silen Football Club getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Cavit Yasin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş's Başaran Coşan got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute Ogün Bağcı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göksun Temizer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Beşiktaş's Ogün Bağcı in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Silen Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. In the 85th minute, Tayfun Ahid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hayrullah Andaç's late challenge caught a Silen Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hayrullah Andaç helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Beşiktaş:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Silen Football Club:s goal. Göktan Bolat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Numan Ergüner having to interfere. Beşiktaş's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
